These are the main characters that are featured in the show.
Lucas is the main character within The Beautiful Game. Him and his best friend Jose are trying to be scouted by an academy. Lucas faces difficulties throughout his journey as a footballer such as injuries and losses. Will he eventually be scouted or will he fail to get into the academy?
Maria is Lucas' Mum. She is a very supportive mother to three kids (Lucas, Adriana and Antonia). Maria doesn't really watch Lucas play football as she takes care of his sisters. She works in a nursery after being fired from a previous job. She can be described as kind, loving and caring.
David is Lucas' Dad. David is a very supportive father for Lucas and wants him to be the best he can. He was a semi-professional footballer when he was younger until he came across a career ending injury which led to his retirement. This is one of the many reasons why he wants Lucas to pursue his dream.
Jose is Lucas' best friend. He is trying to become a professional football player alongside Lucas. He has a very strong friendship with Lucas but will football get in the way of their friendship.
